Daupe / Fat Beats: DM-FB-001 ft. Sonnyjim & The Purist

On the 21st of May it was Record Store Day 2023. That RSD receives love and hate year by year is not new and probably worth a review on its own. I can't say it was an important day for myself or that the list of releases excited me a lot but one release may deserve special attention from the SBS community?

Sonnyjim and The Purist form the duo "White Girl Wasted" that dropped an album in 2022 on Daupe Media. One particular track of the album stands-out.  

For RSD Daupe Media and Fat Beats released  “Barz Simpson,’ with guest appearances by MF DOOM and Jay Electronica. 

This 7" release is limited to 1.500 copies on silver vinyl with picture sleeve artwork by the great "digestor" and RSD hype sticker.
