Smoke On: SOR-1026-1 ft. A.Z.

Smoke On Records presents one of the most sought after Gangsta Rap released of the early 90s that was only released on cassette tape when it came out in 1991: Street Wise by A.Z. (not AZ).

Azie Faison was a drug dealer in Harlem, New York, during the peak of America’s “War on Drugs”. In 1987 he was shot nine times in a robbery attempt, but survived and left the drug game. In 1989, he formed the rap group Mobstyle and two years later he recorded the track “What’s Going on Black” and released the "Street Wise" album on Espionage / Sugar Hill Records.

Limited edition release, album for the first time on vinyl, housed in full color picture sleeve.
