It all started in 1990 with the release of "Don't Waste Your Time" that a Brooklyn duo named Kaotic Stylin released on Ray Ray Records. While this release didn't get too much attention the three following enjoyed a real hype in the indie and random rap scene.On Beat Scott Records Scram and Big Grand released the three not easy to find 12" "Closer To Your Love", the single sided "Check It Out" and the EP "A Diamond In Da Ruff".
There were a few later releases under the name Kaotic Style, the most famous one on WRECK / Nervous Records.
Dope Folks Records presents the release of the original promotion cassette version of "A Diamond In Da Ruff" for the first time available on vinyl. The Beat Scott release only featured the A side of the tape, the B side finally celebrates its vinyl debut.
