Coalmine: CM010 ft. C.L. Smooth

I am no big fan of Record Store Day (RSD) and the undue mass of needless and overpriced represses that delay planned vinyl releases of smaller indie labels.  Anyway every year I found at least 1 release that I decided to buy and make the best out of it. In 2016 it will be ...

Coalmine Records releases an RSD exclusive version of “Perfect Timing” by C.L. Smooth on limited edition blue vinyl. The track was originally released in 2008.

“I’m here to hit ‘em with that sure-to-be-a-classic” C.L. rhymes over a beat by Australian producer M-Phazes and gets support by Brooklyn based MC Skyzoo.

The artwork of the picture sleeve was crafted by Frank “DJ Concept” DeMaria. On the cover, you have a piece that call to mind CL Smooth & Pete Rock’s classic Mecca And The Soul Brother, while the donuts pay homage to the old-school Elektra Records layout.
