An Intro:

This blog is dedicated to connect vinyl collectors with independent artists and labels and to provide "a platform to protect the art form".

Over the last couple of years the hip-hop industrie struggled particularly on vinyl sales. One reason is doubtless the development in new technologies such as CD/DVD and the download media available on the world wide web.

To avoid misunderstanding: I prefer records from 7 to 12 inch but also tapes but I don't adjudge others who prefer modern multimedia. Far from it modern multimedia offer chances for unsigned artists to release their music to people worldwide without a big financial impact. Unfortunately downloading from the internet has also negative aspects. Illegal free downloading kills the music industrie and gives uninvolved people the chance to bootleg music in a bad quality. In both cases the original artists financially miss out.

So if you come across a vinyl record here you really need, make sure you dig it or think about what Wayne Gretzky said: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take"

The Scope:

1. Post records in order to share information to people who are really interested to buy them as originals
2. Share snippets that have been made available by the artist or label and help the buying decision

3. Stay connected and provide up to date overview of new and upcoming releases.
